Contribute to medical research in the field of prevention

Your health data, along with that of many other individuals, can contribute to major medical advances. Used as part of the provision of our services, they can be reused by the Zoī research team, in a pseudonymized way, to help make preventive medicine accessible to all, in compliance with the state of the art in terms of security and confidentiality: the aim is to contribute to the general interest by publishing our medical discoveries to make them available as quickly as possible to the international scientific and medical community.

As the protection of your personal data is our priority, this page has been designed to provide you with clear and transparent information on how we collect, process and use your data as part of our public interest preventive health research projects.

Your health data may be reused as part of health research projects carried out on our initiative, for purposes of public interest. This data, which is collected during your Prevention Check-up and follow-up via the Application (for example, when you answer a question within the application), is processed in its entirety in a secure and confidential manner using military-grade encryption algorithms, and will never be marketed.

The research projects we carry out, often in partnership with the most prestigious medical institutions, are in the public interest, for individuals, for healthcare professionals and for the healthcare system as a whole: our ambition is to advance research in personalized preventive medicine and make it accessible to all through scientific publications. In legal terms, Zoī's purpose is to democratize access to preventive medicine.

Your data is subject to strict security measures, including military-grade encryption and pseudonymization, to prevent unauthorized access and protect your identity.

Your personal health data may also be anonymized for statistical purposes, in compliance with applicable regulations.

In accordance with the law, your personal data is used exclusively by authorized Zoī’s personnel within the limits of their respective responsibilities. Only personnel directly involved in research have access to data, and then only to that which is strictly necessary for their area of competence and expertise.

These staff are bound by a strict obligation of confidentiality and can under no circumstances identify you, as directly identifying data (such as your first and last names, or your date of birth) are excluded by nature from the scope of research projects.

In accordance with the legal and regulatory provisions in force, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on data protection (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Law, you have the following rights:
  • Right of access: you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy ;
  • Right of objection: you have the possibility of objecting to the processing of your data for a specific research project, free of charge, without justification, and at any time, and without any impact on your Preventive Check-up program or the Services offered by Zoī ;
  • Right of rectification: you have the right to request the modification of inaccurate or incomplete data concerning you;
  • Right to erasure: you may request the deletion of your personal data, unless such deletion is likely to render impossible or seriously compromise the achievement of the research objectives;

You may at any time, free of charge and without justification, exercise your rights for a specific research project at privacy@zoi.com. Exercising any of these rights, such as the right to object, will in no way affect the completion of the Prevention Report or access to the Application.
